The house I grew up in, the house of my parents and family, was dismantled and  reconstructed. The new design addresses issues of memory, progress, growth and change.

It deals with how as human beings we can keep the past and our perception of it alive, but still move forward, allow self regeneration and overcome difficulties.

The design comprises two main elements - a concrete shell enveloped by a delicate, fan shaped wooden roof.
